A New Lense on America’s Truly Great Plains
Conservation photographer Michael Forsberg has documented the Great Plains for over 20 years. Aside from the rich trove of stunning images he has amassed, Forsberg instituted a project of time-lapse photography documenting water trends for the watershed of the Platte Basin. This region ranges from the Rocky Mountains east all the way to the Missouri River. Using the massive database of images the project has accumulated, scientists are able to examine a huge amount of information about water use and climate trends in the area that have never before been available.
