Have We Learned by Our Mistakes?

There is currently a hot debate over genetically modified (GM) seeds and produce. The government doesn’t require labeling of GM products, so the consumer has no way of identifying them. There is very little known about the long-term effects of the process of modifying cells with foreign DNA. We don’t know how it will affect our own DNA and we don’t know what the environmental effects will be. This is simply human and biological experimentation on an unprecedented scale.... Growing Up in a Chemical World

We live in a world filled with chemicals. In fact, we’ve created a society in which there are roughly 80,000 industrial chemicals all around us. A figure this large deserves a moment to just pause and think about. The unvarnished truth is that all of these chemicals haven’t been studied for safety. A broader view of health
